Whether it’s at NAR or Inman, you always come away with a number of new products or tools that are fun, useful, or (shock) profitable. At Inman, I’ve seen 2 tools right off the bat that I think will be fairly effective for real estate agents. Both of them share the same feature, that they add value to the real estate agents website, which will draw in more users, repeat users, and hopefully leads.
1. Trulia’s Map
First up is Trulia, they’ve released a tool that allows agents and brokers to identify their listings, customize the layout and then copy and paste some code to put a Trulia map on their website. It’s simple, it adds some great value to the average mundane real estate site.
2. Zillow’s API and ZMobile
Next up is Zillow, who is beginning to open up their API for general real estate professionals. What that means is that soon you’ll be able to put a Zillow comparables or Zestimates tool on your website. Similar to Trulia, you’ll just have to copy and paste some code into the website to have it done. They’ve also started a ZMobile application development to get a mobile Zestimate if you’re driving around town and enter an address of a home.
